Werner Herzog is a Bavarian film-maker. He has a distinct style of observation. Both in his documentary and feature films. He creates raw impressions of the people he meets through the lens.
The first film I saw by Herzog was Encounters at the End of the World. I had never seen a film like it, and continued to follow him, and look at his previous work.
He introduced me to Les Blank, another of my favourite directors.
